Weekly updates have slowly been leading up to the anticipated release of a jailbreak for iOS 5.1. This week is no different!
Pod2G recently tweeted out a huge update to the jailbreak community…
This update comes a week after he initially revealed that he is now running an untethered jailbreak on his iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1. We can only hope that this means an official public release is weeks away!
Hey. iPad 3,1 running iOS 5.1 untethered. Next on the list: stabilizing the payload, then trying 5.1.1.

There were doubts on whether Pod2G would “burn 5 exploits” for this jailbreak release a while back, but it looks like all is well. Pod2G and the rest of the team have been working very hard and it’s much appreciated. It’s because of geniuses like him that we’re able to enjoy all the app and Cydia tweaks that come along with a jailbreak!
I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself!
