If you have an iPhone and use Twitter, you’re probably well familiar with how easy it is having Twitter integration in iOS 5. But what about Facebook? Why can’t we have the same streamlined integration with the world’s favorite social network, Facebook?
If Cook’s comments are any indication to future plans, we may see Facebook integration happening very soon.
Apple and Facebook have never quite worked together on anything. Facebook seems to favor Microsoft over Apple and even has plans of building their own smartphone. But why can’t we all just work together?
During Tim Cook’s interview at D10, he hints at future Facebook integration and how getting along is different than doing business together.
I think that two people that have strong points of view can appreciate each other even more, because you have a point of view doesn’t mean you can’t work with other people.
We want to provide customers simple, elegant ways to do the things they want to do. Facebook has hundreds of millions of customers and anyone with iPhone or iPad wants to have the best experience with Facebook on any device. So stay tuned.
Could this be an indication to what’s coming in iOS 6? I’d love to see Facebook integration. The fact that Tim Cook said “Stay Tuned” is a huge indicator here.
Maybe in the coming weeks we’ll know more when Apple unveils iOS 6 at WWDC.
