If you’ve preordered the new 27-inch iMac on launch day, then you may be excited to hear that Apple has already started preparing some of the first preorders for shipment.
Some MacRumors forum members have noted that some of their credit cards have charged and others are beginning to see “Preparing for Shipment.”
MacRumors notes:
So far it appears that only U.S. customers have reported seeing their orders being prepared for shipment, but there are still only a few data points available. A number of those seeing their orders being readied for delivery have also included built-to-order configurations, indicating that custom orders will be arriving essentially alongside stock models.
Most of the orders are expected to arrive between Dec. 21 -31, but these early indicators could be a sign that the new iMacs may arrive a bit early. If you’re one of the lucky handful to preorder an iMac early, hop online and check your order status. Let me know if you’re seeing “Preparing for Shipment” too.
