Apple has just released a brand new television ad for the holidays showcasing the iPad and iPad mini. The ad shows a young girl singing Bing Crosby’s “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” to her grandfather via FaceTime.
This is a bit different from the holiday ads we’ve seen in the past. Last year, Apple’s holiday ad showed Santa using Siri to get the weather and directions. I don’t think Apple wanted to show off its new turn-by-turn navigation for iOS 6 in this year’s holiday ad due to all of the issues surrounding Maps.
