Here’s a cool new concept of the unreleased (unannounced) Mac Pro that we have all been expecting for quite some time. Apple hasn’t refreshed the Mac Pro in what feels like forever. Hopefully this nice little concept gallery will hold you over until we see an actual release. I just hope Apple doesn’t let the Mac Pro fade away.
Zigich created this concept design and I have to say, I’m liking the small form-factor here. Having a mini Mac Pro with such power is very desirable. The one thing I hate about towers is that they take up too much space. This is probably the perfect combination of style and Apple’s trend to make everything smaller.
Though as 9to5Mac notes:
We’re not sure Apple is ready to take the jump to ARM in the first major refresh of its Mac Pro line since 2010, but the prospect of a smaller, possibly Mac mini-like design for a new Mac Pro is definitely intriguing. The PCI slots are probably not necessary thanks to Thunderbolt, and Zigich doesn’t rule Intel out entirely.
