Reports are in from The New York Times on Apple’s purported iPad Mini. The news is that Apple is planning to launch a new 7.85-inch iPad. Wait didn’t we already know all of this rumored information…
Could it be that Apple has officially tipped off NYT? This is all information we’ve been speculating about for months now. The New York Times states that the new mini iPad will cost significantly less that the current $499 iPad Mini. I’d be willing to guess it will also cost less than the iPad 2 as well…
The New York Times reports:
The company is developing a new tablet with a 7.85-inch screen that is likely to sell for significantly less than the latest $499 iPad, with its 9.7-inch display, according to several people with knowledge of the project who declined to be named discussing confidential plans. The product is expected to be announced this year.
Tim Cook said Apple has a “pipeline full of stuff” for 2012, could an iPad Mini be part of those plans? With successful similar tablets like Google’s new Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire, why wouldn’t Apple want to join the party?
Is anyone completely shocked by this information?
