You may be wondering why I decided to review the Satechi Aluminum USB hub. Prior to my purchase of this, I couldn’t find any good reviews, so I decided to make my own. This is a simple USB 2.0 hub with an Apple-esque design. It has a very nice design and matches my iMac perfectly.
The USB 2.0 part didn’t really bother me because anything that I’ll be using 3.0 for is usually already plugged in on the backside of my iMac. This hub is simply for ease of access when syncing my iPhone or transferring data to a thumb drive. Keep in mind, this hub will not charge an iPad or iPad mini because it’s not powered. Unfortunately, I have to knock off a star for this only being USB 2.0. Let’s hope Satechi releases an updated version in the future.
