On this episode of Building The Ultimate Mac mini, we're taking a look at the Kingston HyperX 3K SSD. This is a beastly solid state drive that can achieve read and write speeds well over 500MB/s. This series revolves around upgrading a Mac mini as much as possible to create a Mac that's almost better than any of Apple's build-to-order minis. Prior to now, Apple's Fusion drive was only available for the high-end 21.5-inch iMac, 27-inch iMacs, and the top model Mac mini. Starting today, Apple is now offering the Fusion drive for the bottom model iMac.
