So today marked the release of “the new iPad”.
And while most of the rumors we learned about were correct, there was a very shocking thing that happened today. Apple dropped the number.
By that I mean it wasn’t named iPad 3, iPad 2S, or even iPad HD (As far fetched as that actually sounds). This iPad has no other name but “iPad” or “the new iPad”. This makes me wonder what the packaging is going to look like. Will it actually say, “the new iPad” on it?
But yea I have to say that out of all the features and announcements Apple made today, the change in naming pattern has the most shocking part. Apple is usually all about patterns. Everything is so clean and lined up. Lately Apple has taken a different approach breaking patterns and changing it up a little. But at the end of the day, we have a pretty awesome iPad.
I am very happy about the specifications for “the new iPad”. Though it was as expected, it’s quite a bump up in functionality in every direction. So be sure to check out Apple’s website as soon as it’s stable enough to order from.
On a personal note, I just spent 30 minutes on hold pre-ordering my “new iPad”. I had no luck getting the site to respond when I got to the shopping cart portion of ordering. Just an FYI.
Are you going to pre-order or go to an Apple Store when it’s released?
