At macmixing.com we usually take Apple Rumors with a grain of salt but when a reputable source like the Wall Street Journal Steps in we start listening a little more… Appartently Apple has a 4G version of the upcoming iPad 3 for Verizon and AT&T (via The Wall Street Journal). No other providers have been mentioned as of yet but if your going to listen to anyone, I would say the Wall Street Journal is up there on the list of “people to listen to”. So with that being said, we have heard quite a few rumors about this “iPad 3” though a few rumored features seem to grab a lot of attention.
- 4G LTE Version iPad 3
- Retina Display
- Quad-Core Processor
Though there are things that contradict the Quad-Core processor. I think that many people want and agree on the other two rumors There have been parts “leaked” but honestly it doesn’t take more then some spare iPad 2 parts and some extra time to mock up some “leaked” photos of any iPad! So I think I’ll stay away from believe all that until we see it. But one thing is for sure, I don’t think the Wall Street Journal would freely throw out crazy assumptions about the next generation iPad.
In the article it states,
“A version will run on fourth-generation wireless networks from Verizon Wireless and AT&T Inc.”
Nowhere in that quote does there seem to be a hypothetical situation or questionable guess. Just saying.

So I guess only time will tell us more information. With the alleged announcement date for March 7th, or somewhere in that week, we may not have too much longer to wait.
So believe what you’d like, but the article is pretty interesting. Go check it out here:
