Apple Employees Will Now Have To Work More Hours And More Weekends To Keep Their Jobs

Due to the explosive success of Apple the Cupertino-based company will now be asking more of their retail store employees. Just recently Apple announced that they will be requiring their retail store employees to work more hours and more weekends to handle the increased demand of their customers. The new stipulations require every employee to work two out of every three weekend days. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Also the weekly hours that a par-time employee will be required to work will be bumped up from 16 to 24 hours. The new rules are set to go into effect on April 15th. If you can’t meet the requirements then you can’t work for Apple.

According to iFOAppleStore:

Soon, Apple will add Friday to its official list of “weekend days,” and full-timers must work two of those three days, or possibly a shift that includes both Saturday and Sunday. The changes will affect Family Room and Red Zone Specialists, Creatives and Geniuses, and seems to stem from a recognition of increased store traffic on Fridays.

Apple seem to be aware that they are asking a lot of their employees and plan to offset this by making sure that their employees are able to get time off when they need it. Nevertheless Cupertino understands that they will be losing a significant portion of their part-time employees.
