The Macintosh was a very special machine. There were many different promo videos showcasing the first Macintosh since its launch back in the ’80s, but I bet you’ve never seen this one. In fact, I know you haven’t seen it until now..
One of the machine’s creators, Andy Hertzfeld, recently posted a rare promo video online. The video produced by Chiat-Day features many different members of the team including Hertzfeld, Bill Atkinson, Burrell Smith, and Mike Murray who give mad props to the first Mac.
According to Hertzfeld, ho posted to video on Google+, the video never made public air because it was too “self-congratulatory.” The video was used in promotional materials sent to Macintosh dealers, but was never seen by the public until now.
