Thanks to a popular jailbreak tweak, Apple has been "inspired" to add this all new Control Center feature to iOS 7. This allows you to swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pull up an overlay with toggles and controls.

Some of the features are awkward to get used to, but it's a pretty big update in the design department.
