iOS 5.1 Has New Features – Ready for Release! Golden Master Passed QA!

According to Chronicwire the Golden Master version of iOS 5.1 has been under some heavy testing for the past few weeks. After a long and vigorous testing phase, iOS 5.1 is ready for the public… Supposedly there are two secret features as well.

It’s currently rumored that the iPad 3 or iPad HD will launch with iOS 5.1 installed.

This can only mean that soon a public release is going to be heading to an OTA near you. (Over the Air Update)

The build number of iOS 5.1 Gold Master is 9B176 according to a very solid source, although three different partners who are testing the Gold Master claim to have slightly (by single digits) higher builds numbers on their copies, I’m assuming that’s because right now it’d make sense for those people to be testing what will soon be released as 5.1.1, so I’ve disregarded the claims.

There is going to be Japanese Siri integration and possibly more. Hopefully Apple will give us some insight at tomorrows Media Event for the New iPad and possibly an Apple TV launch. It would be great if Apple expanded Siri’s functionality to the point that recent jailbreaks have taken it. Siri can be a real strong asset in mobile technology but at this point it’s rather limited without jaibreak.

What features do you think iOS 5.1 should include? Comment Below.
