Looks like Siri will not come with the New iPad, but it will have voice dictation.
According to Phil Schiller:
“Of course, we have our great software keyboard. We have a new key on the bottom — just tap it, speak into your iPad, and it’ll dictate what you have to say.”
This is going to turn out to be a disappointment for those that were expected the new tablet to have Siri capability. Apple has decided against putting Siri on machines that won’t have persistent internet connections.
