Apple, iPhone

The new Maps app in iOS 6 is going to be quite a game changer. Adding new features like 3D Maps, and turn-by-turn navigation makes Apple’s new Maps better than ever! But apparently not all devices will enjoy these stunning new features

Aside from the fact that the original iPad has no support for iOS 6, the new features in Maps won’t be supporting the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4. This may seem a little hard to believe but it’s certainly no lie.

Even Apple’s new iOS 6 page points out the incompatibility:

“Flyover and turn-by-turn navigation will be available only on iPhone 4S and iPad 2 or later.”

Older iPhones or iPod Touches won’t support these new features exclusive to iOS 6. Flyover and turn-by-turn aren’t the only features not supported on older devices. The 3GS will also lack the VIP Inbox, FaceTime (for obvious reasons), Siri (only coming to the new iPad), and offline reading.

Let us know if you find out any other unsupported features on older devices.
