iTunes Glitch Only Shows Apple’s Podcast App In Search Results

Apple released a new app for iOS not too long ago promoting Podcasts in iTunes. The new app lets you download and stream Podcasts in a separate outside of the Music/iTunes app. Apparently Apple really wants you to use it…

Discovered by developer Shahruz Shaukat, The Next Web points to a rare glitch which only shows Apple’s own Podcast app when searching theĀ U.S. iTunes Store for both iPhone and iPad under the default “All Results.” The glitch is present when searching either “podcast” or “podcasts.”

It’s most certainly a glitch as selecting any other filter option changes the results and displays other apps that show through a standard search in the App Store.

This glitch was noticed more than 18 hours ago and Apple has yet to correct it. I wonder if this is intentional. It definitely makes me question if Apple wants everyone using their app or not. Let’s start counting and see how long it takes for this to be corrected.
