Earlier this month Apple released iOS 5.1. With that came another challenge for the Jailbreak World. Many users jumped the gun, despite warnings, and lost their Jailbreak. A5 Devices including the iPad 2, and iPhone 4S, lost the ability to be Jailbroken. The problem here is that there is currently no way to downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 or otherwise once you have upgraded to iOS 5.1 on these devices.
Well, many of you will ecstatic to hear that iH8sn0w discovered a loophole that could allow you to downgrade your A5 device. He sent out a Tweet regarding the situation yesterday. According to Gadgetsteria, the creator of the popular tool Sn0wBreeze, has discovered a loophole in Apple‘s APticket system. With this loophole iH8sn0w had the ability to downgrade his iPad 2 to iOS 5.0.1.
Found a loophole in Apple’s apticket system. Restored my iPad 2 to 5.0.1 from 5.1. Works on all A5 devices. 🙂

This is a big deal for many who prematurely jumped the gun with iOS 5.1 and are in need of a Jailbreak. But remember you’ll still need those saved SHSH Blobs from iOS 5.0.1 to do so. Though we currently have no ETA on the release, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here, on our Facebook and Twitter so be sure to follow us. We’ll keep you posted as things unfold.
Did you upgrade to iOS 5.1?
