UPDATE!!
Pro Tools is Lion Compatible!
Looks like the folks over at Avid finally started jumping on the bandwagon! On August 17th they released an update to Pro Tools 9 that provides “beta” support to Pro Tools 9 within Mac Lion OS X! This is great news, or a great start for those looking to install Pro Tools 9 on their premature Lion installation.

Mac OS X Lion Compatibility Alert July 20, 2011
“Apple has released OS X Lion (Mac OS X 10.7). As of this writing Pro Tools 9 and all earlier versions of Pro Tools software are not compatible and will not work with OS X Lion. We are currently working with Apple in order to provide a compatible release of Pro Tools and will notify you as soon as this work has completed.”
So Watch out everyone before you go hurrying to upgrade to Lion.. I mean really are you that shocked anyways. Avid is always behind on these things. But don’t worry Pro Tools and Lion will play together soon enough and I am sure it will be AWESOME! I really like how Lion runs. But this right now, is a deal breaker for me…
