[Rumor] Boost Mobile Becomes Second Prepaid iPhone Carrier In September

Yesterday news broke that Cricket Wireless is becoming the iPhone’s first prepaid carrier on June 22nd. Now reports today rumor that Boost Mobile may be getting the iPhone treatment soon…

The iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 are rumored to hit Boost Mobile in September. Cricket along with the Boost Mobile rumors will definitely help Apple hit competitors  in a broader market. Prepaid plans give you the freedom to avoid long-term contracts with carriers like Verizon or AT&T.

A trusted source from TechnoBuffalo  reports that Boost Mobile will get hit with an iPhone 4S / 4 storm later this year…

America’s seventh largest wireless carrier will soon be joined by Boost Mobile, as a trusted source has advised that the prepaid carrier will introduce both the iPhone 4 and 4S in early September.

Details of plans and pricing are unclear at the moment, but usually prepaid means cheaper phone bills. On the other hand, you’ll pay substantially more for the iPhone itself. Currently Boost Mobile offers a widely popular $50/month plan that includes unlimited voice, text, and data.

Is anyone excited about prepaid iPhones?
